I think the major issue is that for everyone that subscribes to a set of rules, someone else will say that the rules they choose to abide by isn't in line with someone else's beliefs.
I was reading an article a few weeks ago about some (very) conservative people having issues with Wikipedia because it's too "Liberal".
He contends that because of the people that have a political affliation (amongst registered contributors) that it's 3:1 Liberal to conservative and that the US is more 2:1 Conserative to Liberal.
He pointed out that there is anti-Christian and Anti-american entries.
The Anti-Christian, he pointed out is because they use BCE and CE (Before Current Era and Current Era) instead of BC and AD
Anti-American because they spell with more British spellings, such as Colour, Neighbour, humour.
Now, I don't recall everyone in the world being Christian and likewise, everyone being American, so I don't understand someone feeling that if you aren't Christian or American, you can't contribute to Wikipedia.
The people that post anonymously, most often don't want to be identified and if forced to, it will either be fake or they choose not too.
On the blog I started, the only comment was spam. LOL
